Ok all just to show some memory that is compatible with Threadripper in 32gb and 64gb capacity. Then users can buy and know what they get is working from launch Bios. 4x8gb 32gb No problem upto 3333mhz at C14 XMP setting and 8x8gb 64gb no problem at 2933mhz XMP Setting. The key is Samsung IC it seems then no issues. Other ICs which I tried mixed results. Diffucult to get stable even 4 x 4gb at above 2666mhz. All the pics shown are on ASUS Zenith with 8Pack 3200mhz kit which will always be Samsung IC throughout its lifespan unlike some other SKU which switch. I also tried 3200mhz 4x 8gb on Gigabyte which also worked fine Taichi incoming so will try all combinations on all boards given time. Performance results I cant show yet and always observe NDA.

The Vortez review of the memory is here: https://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/team_dark_pro_8_pack_edition_review,1.html
WTB is here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08l-tg.html
For 32gb I used two kits for 64gb I used four kits.

One of the reasons I'm waiting for reviews is RAM specifically. I wonder if there's any advantage in going for 3600mhz ram. If I'm paying 1000 pounds for a CPU I'm not going to complain about spending an extra 50 quid to make the most of it.

Yeah. The reason I will use my Samsung B die 3600C16 at what ever speeds it will work (dual channel) until i commit to new ram for the 1950X.

However the boards is something that I am dithering with

K7 looks great (can make it orange on CPU area, Red on PCI-es for vega for great RGB effects on the P5), but 8 phases (possibly IR3555 or IR3556 not IR3553 as reported) only and no active cooling on them.
MSI Carbon, 10 IR3555 or IR3556 under the heatsink, IR35201 controller running in 5+X mode, and 5 IR3599 on the back side. But wifi module on pci-e slot (and not much rgb lol).
Zenith/Prime, 8 phases only, comes with active cooling (fan under the top shroud), and heat pipe cooling on the VRMs. While EK will release monoblock for it. However is 50% more expensive than the rest. (and not much RGB).

So might have to wait until K7 reviews to hit before I order and see if it can hold the 1950X at 4-4.2Ghz (XFR is 4.2 apparently) with passively cooled 8 vrm phases :/

IMC I doubt will run 3600mhz Really limit 4 x8gb will be around 3333mhz. Still impressive quad C14. Remeber on AMD Cache speed is mem speed so both Cache and IMC can be limiting factor. In the Votez review the reviewer was unable to make 3600mhz stable on one CPU but could get 3722mhz stable on another CPU. Remember this is quad not dual so a lot of extra pressure on IMC.
