Yeah, I'd pre order now if I knew. No point if there's a month and a half wait. The prices will likely drop a little by then.

You have Threadripper gavin?? No.

I do, I think that tells everyone everything. Infact I have had for months. Again tells a brief but accurate story.

If you check vortez you will see the memory sku you called out with my name on it reached 3722Mhz stable on ryzen by an independent reviewer and scooped all the awards. Best if independent guys test my product if I have zero credibility (but all the world records).

For those interested I will do zenith bundle with 3466Mhz mems and 3.8-3.9 oc on TR. Waiting for the board to hit retail first.
Will you be selling 64GB overclocked bundles?

When are these due to be released? Thought it was late June?

When are what due to be released?

Threadripper 1950x and 1920x cpus and mobos available for pre-order now, launching 10th August (reviews this date also). 1900x avail 30th Aug.

I was really excited but the drip drip drip of info is really starting to turn me off threadripper.

Now, I can pay for it, but I have no reviews, no news on coolers, no details on motherboards beyond the sales info.

It's really starting to take the ****.

I wouldn't bite down on this too much. Would you not rather it was ready, then have a repeat of X370?

Happened with Ryzen too though, lot of people took a gamble on a chip that wouldn't have its review NDA lifted until it was purchase-able. If it bugs you, just wait until it's actually released - only 8 sleeps to go :)

It releases on the 10th of August - I'm not exactly sure what you were/are expecting before then.

Drop the NDA and allow reviews now in advance of "release" which seems to just be an arbitrary date given that retailers have stock already.

Allow mobo manufacturers to put out details.

Let us find out if, say, EK have a waterblock ready.

Yep, it's stupid. I'd pre-order now If I could see some motherboard reviews, I could also pre-order a EK block and knew which RAM was preferred.

Yeah would be nice to know before went in for the purchase.

If people are expected to drop a grand on a CPU, I think it's reasonable to expect performance figures and hardware requirements/availability.
My thoughts exactly String

Just as a heads up EK do indeed have a block for Threadripper and it has been shown since April if you google it ;) It is specific for one mobo that model mind.

With that though they have also confirmed that blocks are in development otherwise and will be ready for release day.

The only people expected to drop a grand on a pre-order cpu are those that don't care about reviews etc.

Those that do care, will drop a grand AFTER the reviews that come out on the 10th.

It's not like anyone is forcing anyone to pre-order the cpus.

32GB landing late next week!

We are preparing a 64GB 2933MHz C14 kit specific for Threadripper/Zenith for those who need memory and high speed, shall be £799. :)

One of the reasons I'm waiting for reviews is RAM specifically. I wonder if there's any advantage in going for 3600mhz ram. If I'm paying 1000 pounds for a CPU I'm not going to complain about spending an extra 50 quid to make the most of it.
