The air Vega 64 is 285w so yeah still bad but not as bad as your making out.

Incidentally the EVGA ftw hybrid 1080 which is basically a ref 1080 with an AIO bolted on is 215w, so yeah still more efficient.

Besides, if you pair a Vega with a RyZen CPU what you save in power on the CPU balances out the gpu ROFL

I lts all pointless arguing anyhow, nobody cares about TDP because if you did you would never OC Amy components and only buy reference designs..

I used the Ref 1080 because AMD compared it performance wise on the launch slides to the Vega 64 AIO so I feel it's valid.

If you want to use Vega 64 Air you're underestimating the TDP which I've seen quoted as 295 & 300W. Also it's clocked lower than the AIO and if it was OC its TDP would increase.

There's no getting away from it there's a big gulf between Nvidia and AMD efficiency wise and it holds Vega back.

Well the US retail price is $699 so no chance of it being under £450.

It isn't, the limited edition is the aluminum blower card, the aio version is just another "sku".

Gibbo said around 2pm and twitter said around midday, so seems like there's wires crossed somewhere. They'll probably clarify tomorrow at some point.

How is "around" midday not close enough for 2pm for people to let it slide? lol. When I saw around midday I assumed it was further confirmation of 2pm... but that's just me.

I'd say your best bet is to wait until tea-time and then you'll be able to pre-order one
