Glock got the same penalty too, but im guessing that'll just be ignored by everyone in the thread.
But didn't Glock overtake under a yellow flag, overtaking by cutting a chicane as far as I'm aware isn't breaking the rules if you then slow down and let them past again so that you don't gain an advantage from doing so.

I am stunned. It actually is the Ferrari International Assistance! Extremely damaging for the sport. How they managed to cook 25 seconds up I cannot wait to read about.

I am going more and more off F1 with things like this.

Glock's was for passing under yellows, what was Hamilton's for (neither the bbc nor autosport say?) if it's for the chicane then it's a joke, if it's for something else (not sure what it could be though) then we'll see...

Only if you drive a red car

Glock was punished for over-taking under caution you clown.

He passed under yellow or something... different situation and yeah... there's already been quite a few mentions in this thread about that already...

Errrr totally different reasons for investigation...

Glock got a penalty for overtaking under yellows. I have yet to see a reason for Hamiltons penalty

@NeilMick: Feel stupid now?

Agreed with TomWilko... past incidents like this I have managed to ignore or look over but this is going to be extremely difficult. It damages the sport for me. Especially in light of seeing Ferrari get off scot free from their pit stop shenanigans in the last race.

What ever Hamilton did or did not do in no way effected Massa's race yet Massa has suddenly gained a win.

In light of the fact Raikkonen crashed out which was again no fault of Hamilton's it looks a bizarre decision to say the least.

Ok, so I can 'just' about see how they could say he deserved a penalty but how on Earth did they get to the 25 seconds figure!?

Drive through that is given so late in the race (or after it!) that isn't taken during the race equates to a 25 sec penalty.

Unless its a Ferrari, in which case they fine 10000 euros the only things that can be done are

drive through
stop and go
or
if the infraction occurs within the last 5 laps of the race apply a 25 second penalty in lieu of the drive through.
