The FIA's intentions of the penalty are all too clear...

Total farce. I'm seriously considering giving up on watching F1 altogether due to this. What's the point in watching a great race like that when they just change the result to favour Ferrari afterwards?

I can see whythey made the decision but its obvious there is a sway now, after the massa no penalty last week after several similar ones in GP2.

A joke.

I don't normally subscribe to the old "Ferrari International Assistance" conspiracy stories but when stuff like this happens...... bad, bad decision.

I thought to myself "They've just given this pointless investigation so it looks like Mclaren get away with things like Massa last race". It seems even that was overoptimistic for the FIA.

F1 is almost comical these days.

I know. Lets make the drivers be less aggressive, so the only action we do get, is now disallowed aswell.

Theres a huge difference between racing and leaving a car width and racing to edge the other driver off the track.

Less aggressive? There are few more aggressive racers than Gilles Villeneuve watch him race wheel to wheel where he actually has respect for the other racer and tell me thats not how it should be done.

Its not aggression or even talented to push another driver off the road. One day a driver won't move and there will be a huge accident.

Pathetic. Really losing interest in this sport now because I can never be sure when someone wins that they actually are the winner. I always have to check back a few hours later to see if any of the results have been fixed/changed.

A very very disappointing ending to such a great race.

Decisions like these really put me of watching F1 and they seriously dent the creditability of the sport.

So, next time you go side by side into the chicane, and the driver on the inside takes a wider line, pushing you off the track, you have to hold position and write both cars off.

Good to know.
