please show me at which point there is any significant tow going on? The only time he is behind KR is when he is crossing over to the inside line. It doesn't matter what he said in the interview, the video evidence is plain.

That clip is awesome! The closing speed when Kimi brakes is phenomenal. You can clearly see Lewis looking to his left to spot Kimi coming past once they hit the straight.

Sorry i didn't notice that the youtube video showed airflow and it's effects on F1 cars. Must have missed that one, is it a filter you get?

Now you're just being deliberately obtuse

Perhaps the FIA's arguement is more along the lines of.. if that was monaco and there was a wall there, lewis would have never tried that overtake. The track doesnt have a wall there because it would be unsafe to do so.

In the past they would have put a gravel trap there but the FIA are the ones who have put more and more tarmac run offs to improve safety. For this reason we have this "rule" whereby if you gain or maintain a position by missing a corner you have to yield it back......except now you just can't gain an advantage period!

Yup KR for some reason completely left the door open. He even purposedly moved over into the "lane" that LH was in. LH thought, oh.. ok... if you don't want that racing line then I'll take it and then moved out. That was the little Scalextrix style X reversal we all saw. If KR had kept his line then LH wouldn't have been gifted that overtake.

he maybe cut the chicane cos he thought he was racing michael schumacher and thought kimi would rather take him out than let him throught. Also shame on kimi for almost forcing Mr "for sure" almost off the track at the start. I might pick a new favourite driver before the end of next year now. Its between Mr for sure, fred, and vettel at the moment.

Nothing wrong with that move in my view. Massa has done the same.

The question is: Why do so many people love Ferrari? :)

It's a bit like the "Man Utd" lovers of the world that have never been to Manchester let alone watched them play. A team gets success [be it F1,football et al] and people pick them as their team to follow.

Years ago everyone loved Williams, how often do you here of big Williams fans these days?

Just watched it again on ITV highlights and there is no way Hamilton is guilty of anything. The place was given back to KR plain and simple - Hamilton just stole it back moments after because he took the next corner better.

And that video above sums up the FIA tbh

Nothing surprises me anymore. I'm shocked.

Did Ferrari even submit a complaint or did the stewards do this all of their own back?

Hamilton relinquished the lead, thats all he needed to do.

His advantage by taking avoiding action was lost and more when not only did he lift off and let him pass, he went all the way round the back of him. KR has more of a lead coming out of the corner than he did going in.

He absolutley minced Raikonnen on the 1st corner as KR went too wide and hamilton took the chance.
