EDIT: kinda in response to sunama, don't think Alonso will do anything to bad, but he could/would force Hamilton off track, he's done it before when he was on the same team,

Which race was this in? I don't remember this.

Im trying to imply that i belive he is capable of it yes.

Similar question: what gives you this idea?

From what I've seen the only guy currently in F1 who has shown that he will do underhanded things is Hamilton (ie. Hungary 2007, when he went against team orders, which resulted in Alonso retaliating). We've also seen Hamilton "push" other drivers off the track, though I do feel this is all part of racing and as a driver, you have to learn your race craft to be able to defend your position better.

But that hasn't been the case all weekend has it, apart from Quali 3 when fuel levels became a factor?

Personally I think LH has the pace, but just stuffed it up in the last session.

In general, when Hamilton goes on track, he goes out there, trying to be the fastest he can be. He does this as he is a racer. He wants to mentally dominate other drivers and break them, mentally. This is how it was done in the days of Mansell, Senna and Prost. MS came and changed the way things were done. Hamilton has now come in and gone back to the old ways.

Ferrari, still use the MS method of doing things: ie. dont go fast when its not necessary. Massa only went fast when it was absolutely necessary, ie. Q3.

masa deserves it more then hamilton

No way.

Hamilton has made this year (which I think would've otherwise been boring), exciting. He has done some aggressive driving and overtaking, to the point where other drivers have complained. According to the rules though, Hamilton is correct in what he is doing. If I were him, I would drive even harder against the people (like Kubica), who are whining and moaning.

Massa on the other hand, has been fast when driving from the front, but has been a bit weak when it comes to overtaking, though he has upped his (ovetaking) game in recent races, culminating in him knocking Hamilton into a spin.

Massa and Hamilton have both made their fare share of mistakes, but I feel that Hamilton is leading the title race in what is a slower car.

Going against team orders isnt really underhanded now is it? I dont belive team orders should really come into play.. But they do as this race will show id imagine. F1 needs to go back to the older days it was exciting then.

As to Trulli. No idea how he is always so slow come race day. Its usually because he brims it at some point and always ends up coming out of the pits in front of people. Guess we will see tomorrow how he handles being at the sharp end of the grid.

I can understand him being slow once he is on a heavy tank of fuel. However, as you will see tomorrow, he will start the race on the same tank of fuel with which he outqualified other drivers, but will be much slower than his (slower in qualifying) competitors. This is the part that doesnt make sense to me.

Sums it up nicely

Here we go again, when exactly has Alonso ever taken out a competitor? From what Ive seen of him, he isnt that sort of a driver.

Apart from alledged "brake testing" i cant see Alonso doing anything to damage his status as a driver just to help Massa.

Yes it is underhanded.

Throughout the season, McLaren (and probably other teams), all have an established system as to who goes out first/last in Q3.

In Hungary 2007, it was Alonso's turn to go out first and get the better run. However, Hamilton disobeyed team orders and went out ahead of Alonso. This is what angered Ron Denis.
Alonso retaliated immediately and blocked the pit area, which prevented Hamilton from getting another run of qualifying. This led to Alonso getting pole.
The FIA then got involved and demoted Alonso. Ron Denis was angry at both his drivers.
Alonso then threatened to leak info to the FIA. Ron Denis then "shopped" his own team.
It all snow-balled from there.

The fact that Hamilton disobeyed the established system, was very underhanded.

Nothing wrong with brake-testing. I remember Senna doing this regularly and most notably in Monaco 1992, to Mansell. If Hamilton truly believes himself to be like Senna, he will accept brake-testing as part of race-craft and should learn to deal with it.

He must just lose his head? all i can think of

There is a first for everything and he has made it quite clear he will do anything to make sure Mclaren don't get the title.

But the fact remains he hasnt got a history of doing anything underhanded. Hamilton however, does.

I feel that the British public have been brainwashed into hating Alonso, for no apparent reason. Its more than unfair.

MS, Prost and Senna have a history of taking people off the track. Alonso, doesnt.

Just watched qualy delayed (been watching me team get stuffed 4 - 1) and I kind of thought "Oh arse!" at first but then I dont think its THAT bad. As long as Heikki can keep Fred away from Lewis, and Lewis can keep his sensible head on, fingers (and toes and arms and eyes and anything else :D ) crossed he should be ok.
Im going to say lots of prayers before bed.

Tomoro could be his first :p

British public will follow the british driver and any one who is against him they will dislike with a passion. look at that horrible game of football they follow england to the ends of the earth and hate entire countrys because 11 of their citizens can kick a ball better.

You will soon get over it :p
