Only way Hamilton will loose the title is with mechanical failure or if Alonso takes him out, which is highly likely.

Not really highly likely, if drivers are seen to be purposefully ramming other cars, to put them out of the race etc, i think the punishment would be not being allowed to race. They just can;t let things like that go on.

An anyway, what makes you think alonso would do such a thing, yes he and hamilton don;t see eye to eye. But alonso would have to be out of his mind to do something that silly and jepordise his career.

Just read that Sebastien Loeb will be getting the chance of getting behind the wheel of the RB4 during testing in Barcelona in a fortnight. You know much about this?

Been a couple of other motor-sports drivers having a go this year mate. I will get more info for you on Tuesday though [race debrief]

Thats a good point.

In today's age, he would probably be banned for half a season. On top of which, I doubt he would take out Hamilton for Massa to win the title. Now if Alonso took out Hamilton to win the title for himself, that would be one thing, but to do it for Massa - I highly doubt it.

i follow the WRC more than i do F1 tbh lol. He's some driver wouldnt mind seeing what hes like behind one of these speed machines lol

Hamilton reckons hes got a good strategy.
But for the life of me I cant see it.

Lets say Hamiltons going longer ok? So that means hell be heavier.
Alonso and Trulli are probably light-ish so theyll be off the line fairly fairly quickly. My guess is, Trulli will stay ahead of Hamilton and perhaps Alonso and Kovi may actually get past Hamilton because of a lighter car, thus just slowing Hamilton up.

Not to mention that Hamilton has not been stellar when other cars are around him of late (i.e. messing up corners etc). So to be honest its not clear sailing for Hamilton and he really needs to keep his head about him. I said before that this championship is not Massas to win, its Hamiltons to lose. And this cannot be even true moreso than right now.
I think that this is THE defining moment of Hamiltons career. Last year he was in a 3 way fight. This year its a straight duel. Its crunch time.

Anything can happen in Formula One. And it usually does.
Had to be said. :)

I really don't think FA will set out to do anything underhand - but I'm guessing some people are willing him to do it to justify their hatred for the bloke. Silly really, but maybe not as silly as the stupid speculation around it.

I don't think LH will win the race tomorrow, but he should walk away with the WDC. As long as he doesn't throw his toys out the car on turn 1 because he's not leading, and the team/strategists keep their heads all will be well for him.

Seriously looking forward to it!! I believe FM or LH deserve the WDC, both have driven exceptionally this season.

Cavallino in "Hamilton will not win it " shocker.

Didnt say that. All Im saying is that today Hamilton shouldve easily clinched a first row position but he seems to be struggling. He doesnt want to get in the mix with other drivers, especially with Alonso right on his tail. Alonso could still be sore from the 2007 championship which he believed he couldve won and might just decide to pay back Hamilton. You never know!

I personally think Hamilton will do it. But he hasnt done himself favours today.

But if it rains, then might as well get the lottery number generator out.

Hehe I like this from Hamilton:

Q. What is your routine from today and into tomorrow's race to keep yourself calm and composed?

LH: It won't be any different to any other weekend. Tonight I don't have any particular plans. I may watch a movie, maybe play PSP, chill with my brother. I will relax, come here tomorrow with a clear head and try and do a good job.

Q. Which movie will you be watching?

LH: I think Heikki says he has some good ones for me to borrow!

(Not gonna ask what movies these are hammy :D)

Look, I don't know why people keep on saying this. This sort of thing does not happen in F1, a non title contender is not going to put his livelihood on the line just to settle a a grudge he may hold.

As I said from my comment from which YOU quoted.

You never know! I mean the guy blatantly stated that he would help Massa when possible. Now Im not interpreting that as "I will ram him off given the chance" but then can you remember the last time a driver.. a double world champ was so outspoken about another driver and his distain for him to the point of actually stating preference to that drivers competitors?

Im not saying he will or he wont. But the possibility of either choice are there.

Well... I won't be able to see a McLaren tomorrow without picturing Lewis and Heikki in some bizarre literature fuelled Moseley-esque scenario :(
