THe usual excellent performances, almost a carbon copy of last week!

I know all the negative press with LH, but he's held it together (for now) and lets see what happens tomorrow.

I'm not sure who makes the decisions, but I always get the feeling that LH's 'risky' choices never seem to pay off, as seen in Q2 and the first fast lap of Q3, yet Ferrari rarely make a bad decision

Rather harsh words from DC about Heidfeld there.

They were somewhat. I've never really been aware of Heidfeld being particularly unsportsmanlike but the whole "that was very unsportsmanlike and that pretty much sums the man up in general", or words to that effect, seemed extremely harsh.

LH has still got at least one extra prime set compared to the Ferrari's (didnt they use prime in Q1 when LH didnt?

Either way even if they havent - so Lewis had to do one more run (effectively on the harder tyres) so it hasnt actually cost him anything

I honestly dont think LH will make a balls up tomorrow, he will be calmer and even if he goes into corner 1 3rd, I think he can beat at least one of the Ferrari's tomorrow and probably both if it does rain

Good qually for hamilton, obviously got a very quick car under him, kubica all but out of the running now with that result, don't know why his car was so dog slow compared to heidfeld. Not running a wet weather set up is he? :D Kovaleinen his usual slow self so wont be of any help to LH. Shall be a good race dry or not.

So much for the "sandbagging" :)

Hmm. He does seem to be pushing awfully hard. He went sailing up the pitlane escape road in the free practice this morning - hope he was just getting it out of the way so it wouldn't happen in the race....

I think he did it delibrately to test how late he can brake. He probably now considers that ******* of a pit lane entry corner to be just another corner of the track that he must master and master well.

took me ages to do that

the 2nd quali lap from hamilton was a belter

Oh my God....

Right. There we have it folks. The Hamilton fans are now even able to justify him skipping off the road. Utterly brilliant, NathanE. I have to salute that. Let me guess - he had his Turn 1 moment last time out in Japan as a way of testing just how good his brakes were as well? :D

Well wasn't expecting that from you JRS  Sometimes you post with your head but quite rarely you turn into a hot headed Massa.

It's not that unreasonable is it. Probability of a wet race exists and is quite high.

LH probably wanted to test out that escape road and the reverse gear procedure. He said just the other day that he was reviewing Youtube clips of his mistake there last year. It is clearly on his mind. He probably kicks himself for not taking the escape road last year and reversing back - at least he would have only lost tops of 15 seconds.

Be interesting to see the fuel strats for tomorrow as kovaleinen was up there mixing it but was nowhere near the pace in the final qually. May be going longer. I expect hamilton will have similar fuel load to massa with the pace he was showing throughout all the sessions.

from the speed hamilton was going, i bet he is a lap or 2 heavier. i think raikonen will do same as last race and hope hamilton makes a mistake again.

kovi needed to get infront of massa i thought they would have fueled him quite light. he did make a mistake so maybe he is and will have to try and overtake or keep pressure on massa atleast.

With they tyre problems here would not surprise me if Lewis has to stop 1 time more than Massa, like he had to in Turkey. Looking good for Kimi to repay Lewis :p
