2010 F1 - Who goes where? Lineup and Teams

It was only one word out, i'm sure you could have figured it out if you tried.

Could have done - but couldn't be bothered.

As for the name - Proton owns Group Lotus. Technology trade in place with Lotus Cars and Lotus Engineering. Lotus F1 Team *PS - really like the logo* is run by Proton...

Team Lotus was never part of Group Lotus in the past, so where's the problem in using the name?

What if they wanted to use Arrows, Minardi or Toyota? Would there be this much complaining about it?

no more rumours about schui?

His people are not denying it (previously his spokeswoman has been quick to deny any involvement in a full season comeback) She apparently is "unable to comment" rather than unwilling...

German media reporting a 1 year deal is on the table (some think already accepted)

So, its still running and running. I think it is interesting, but I still have this BIG doubt in the back of my head that says the whole thing is nothing more than a media stunt to increase interest in the new Merc team.

Would not suprise me if it was all confirmed for it to then be called off due to his neck injury...

Reported on BBC F1 news website -

Michael Schumacher has agreed a contract with Mercedes for 2010 in principle, according to German newspaper Bild. The team are willing to pay the seven-time world champion 7m euros to make his comeback.

Now this'll be interesting....... German team, with two German drivers, then we've got Mclaren with two British drivers.... Hmm.... Wouldn't bet against Mercedes pulling this one off next year....

Could shape up to be an interesting season if this all goes to plan....

Actually, even if Mclaren pull if off, Mercedes still win.!! Just with a different team.

Mercades = Schumacher

My personal thought, and reasons below.

1) It's not really about the money when you love racing as much as this guy!
2) It's a complete German outfit, car engine etc, what a thing to give back to his home country.
3) Ross Brawn, that needs no explaining.
4) All other seats that he would consider I imagine are now contractually filled.
5) Passion, will, determination, skill, drive, hunger and so on ...

Its all there BUT only if his fitness permits him.

Stu

Kubica may not be staying at Renault now they have sold a large chunk of the team.

Round and round and round the ride goes...

tbh, i wouldnt read to much into that. It probubly nothing more than the fact the team have been sold, but they havent as yet ammended Kubicas contract. In a couple of days it will be sorted.

I was really excited to post the bit about kobayashi but im half an hour too late :(

On the plus, YAY! someone interesting will race, just holding out for the return of ms....

Anyone think that the sauber will be a good car though? And more importantly who is going to be his team mate?
