Didn't see any point in voting as generally the politicians in N Ireland are naff, however, in saying that I do hope that the SDLP gets all of Sinn Fein's votes, as the only thing that Sinn Fein does is to collect vast expenses (from the public coffers) and never bother representing in Parliament the people who voted for them...

What are the chances like for the NI parties? I'm very very ignorant when it comes to NI politics, sorry.
I understand Conservatives want the DUP to do well?

Well I've had a rubbish day, didn't even get time to vote. First one I have missed. Still finally got to Watford 1hr30 late.

Cone on you blues, I really have no idea how this election will go.

Got Sky HD Election Night on, will be staying up for it :p

As far as I can see, it will be Conservative vs Hung, however nothing is decided.

God help us Labour don't get back in, nor the Facebook Democrats ;)

Come on Conservatives!

Surprisingly conservative vote on this forum. I have to say I wasn't expecting that because there's a very strong anti Conservative contingent on here, especially anti Thatcher.

Was expecting a lot more in BNP and UKIP based on quality of recent posts in GD if I'm honest.

Pleasantly surprised with the result from a social point of view on the forum, not political.

Put the kettle on, I'll be there in a jiffy.

There were huge queues outside my local voting station today, I don't remember ever seeing that the last 4 or 5 elections.

I drove past at 18:30 and saw the massive queue and thought "**** that, I'll come back later", came back later at 20:45 expecting it to be quiet and it was still heaving. I wonder if there's been a significantly bigger turnout than the last couple of elections?

I think my family got shafted in Hull. Most of my friends have said that they only got to fill out 1 green form but mine was white with local MPs names on, not just the party names. Does that mean I havent actually voted for the parliamentry election?!

Thats the only thing I got handed at my poll station :S

Sounds like you got shafted, yes. I had two slips (not Hull). Although they all have MP and party names on.

**** sake. The people in the poll station gave me that then ripped up my polling card, doing the same with my parents and EVERYONE who came into asda where the polling station was. What the hell is going on?

Depends whether there was elections in your local council ward as well.

The parliamentary election slip has MP details, not just party names on it. We vote for an individual, not for a party.
