I just overheard an interesting conversation: "Only net contributors to the state should have a vote".

Interesting idea, but I'd imagine the end effect would be widening the gap between rich and poor. Those who contribute vote in parties who'll improve their standard of living- screw the poor as they don't get a vote.

I couldn't stand around long without creeping (coffee shop), but that's pretty much what they decided. Good on paper, terrible in practice.

Just voted LibDem. Massive queues at the polling station, never seen anything quite like it before. If they were all voting like me then it could be squeaky bum time in a previously rock solid, safe Conservative seat.
