As seems apparent, the LibDem proponents are a fickle bunch

If the Exit Poll is accurate (remember 1992!), then the Tories can comfortably form a minority Government without the LibDems or Labour.

This would still be the equivalent of a bloody nose for the Tories given by the public, given where we were earlier in the year.

LMFAO @ Cable saying they can still win.

And laughing more at the 1) Polls at this stage are pointless...

I said this. Do all the polls you bloody well like, it won't mean a damn thing. 18,000 people is what.. 0.0003% of the population. That doesn't represent a damn thing. You could poll 1 million people and it still wouldn't represent anything.

Based purely on the polling station I went to, there wasn't anyone taking results for the Exit poll so I'm slightly sceptical but it certainly looks like a hung parliament at this stage.

does it ever go wrong and the swingometer becomes real and tries to kill everyone?

Nick Clegg whining about how the polling booths closed at 10 and he's "lost votes".

The fact they're in the key constituencies highlights the flaw with your statement. Besides, they are a guide.

Lol Mandleson getting all twisty..

Paxman doing his opening shots to twist the dagger..

I think the closeness of the poll and that means the politicians can't feel safe.. Mandleson isn't feeling very confident..
