I like it how all the Tories are saying a Con/Lib coalition would be good - LOL

It is your only option, a minority Government would last 5 minutes.

I think Tories are desperate after being shut out for soo many years.

They would take a Lab coalition if needs must.

I'm a Labour supporter and I'm agreeing with it. :o

A Tory/Lib Dem coaltion sounds like a plan, but still dissapointed Tory didn't win the majority. Still aslong as Labour are kept out it's all good.

That's their opening position, as he said all these things can be discussed. A referendum with the Tories campaigning for a different system to the LibDems wouldn't be contrary to a coalition.

If the libs don't go for broke on p.r. they will regret it.

We could yet have lib/lab

I think agree with Cameron's outlined position, if he gave up any more he'd probably cause a big split in the Con party

On an unrelated note, given that Sunderland managed to count their votes in some 40 minutes, why has St Ives and a couple other places failed to count them over 12 hours later?

The fact is, nobody won this election.

The Conservatives do not have the majority backing of the country.

If the Libs do allign with the Tories, I know MANY Libs who will be ****** as NONE of the Libs important policies WILL EVER see the light of day.

yes I think so, will be interesting to see the libs minimum requirement.

p.r. or nothing

The Scilly Isles included in St Ives, could it be the reason is waiting for the boat to come in?

Theres no way a lib/lab coalition can get a majority unless they rope in some smaller partys as well

SDLP take the Labour whip and the Alliance Party are a sister party to the LibDems, that's another 4 seats on top of the 312 they hold right now (LD + Labour).

Indeed, but you can quite clearly point out who lost it. Labour lost almost 90 seats and their share of the popular vote dropped by 6.3%

In a moment of irony, it's actually the libdems which are the biggest losers ...and who probably currently have the most power!
