There's a good reason Apple dropped the glass back from the iPhone.

This would be much worse given the sheer size of the pieces of glass relative to the iPhone 4/4S. Far easier to crack.

I couldn't care less about dropping a phone and have it smash - front is glass like on all phones anyway so the possibility for cracks are still there.

I'm all for on-screen buttons aslong as there isn't a big bezel below it - GNex is ok - that LG above is wayy off the mark.

I also like HTC's One series layout of capacitive buttons...and when you hold the multi-task you get a menu popup.

This is a real dilemma for me. Both my sister and my other half got optimus 2x's when they came out . The hardware is beautiful (screen is excellent, general feel in hand etc) but the software is beyond terrible. The software is so bad that I swore I would never touch an lg phone again. These phones are still on gingerbread 2.3.4. Totally terrible. The phones crashed, reception disappeared until the battery was removed, the phones overheated when charging (these symptoms were present across multiple replacement phones).

Now lg look like having the nexus concept. I have my heart set on the next nexus; it looks like the good LG hardware with awesome Google software.

On the other hand this could be like the horrific O2x brother; the GS2. That was an o2x with vanilla android released on t mobile. This could be the quad core version of that concept and the brother to the optimus g. The gs2 was just and shocking as the o2x.

Rest assured LG will be ok software side on this phone...and only this phone :D. Googles in charge on this one. :)

He hopes :D

LG 2X was the most suckiest phone I used - such a let down!

just hate the way LCD screens look when there off.

Nothing to do with it being LCD afaik - it's some sort of sub layer that makes it look black when the screen is off.

iphone 4 + 5 look black when the screen is off. the OLED desire was very grey when off.

The above photo's look as good as SAMOLED's in bright light.

Stuff I still want to know:

- Battery capacity
- Dimensions + Weight
- Different storage capacities?
- Is the camera any good?

What else am I missing....hmmm.

15 days to go until the unveiling.
