Pre-seasons already kicked off for a few clubs and we usually have a thread for pre-season chat so here it is.

Liverpool's first game is this Saturday vs Preston - it's on ESPN and LFC TV online.

That was my first thought when I saw that story, but the other explanation is his usual lack of fitness and effort over summer means he came back ripe for an injury.

Though to be fair I don't remember he looking his usual preseason heftier self in any recent pictures at the start of training, though all the pictures seem to be focusing on the receding hair, so who knows.

Arsenal playing on Sunday afaik(though its like Thailand, not sure exactly when the game is uk time. Most of the bigger clubs seem to be starting off this weekend, I noticed West Ham playing a couple games in the past 10 days or so, so they seemingly got stuck in early.
 
We have David Moyes' first starting XI: Amos; Fabio, Ferdinand, Evans, Buttner; Cleverley, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs; Januzaj; Welbeck. (GT)

So Fabio at right back, Januzaj gets a start and Welbeck as solo striker.....we'll expect a bucket of goals then :p
