Welbeck seems to be doing his best not to get Zaha an assist, Zaha puts a great cross in and Danny controls it, then dribbles out of the box and loses it

Well we start with defeat but it doesn't really matter. We were never going to score without any strikers on the pitch and missing nearly all our creative players.

Good signs from both Januzaj and Zaha though and Lingard looked bright.

Oh dear Moyes losing his first game in charge :/...granted RVP et al arent playing but still thought Utd would have won this game.

Would have never happened if Fergie was still in charge

Moyes will have ruined RVP already so him playing wouldn't have made a difference.

It most likely would have, considering the very distinct lack of attacking options we had.

If you removed the equivalent of what we were missing from other squads it'd be interesting to see what they scraped down to.

, without a decent striker i think most teams would have probably struggled.

I will be interested in seeing how Arsenal fare in their first pre-season tour game. Wouldnt surprise me if we draw or lose

The problem we had today is that Tom Cleverley played like Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck played like Danny Welbeck.

What we really missed was Bebe.

Wasn't there almost two seasons of Utd fans telling everyone Welbeck looked class and had huge potential... then last season happened. He can be a powerful runner, he can rather like Valencia punt the ball down the wing into space and run onto it, but once he gets to the box he's freaking hilarious.

He did have potential, he technically still does. The problem is he's lost all ability to score and looks like he doesn't really give a crap. We should send him out on loan somewhere closer to his level. We can then use RvP, Rooney, Hernandez and Henriquez. Henriquez has scored as many goals in the U20 world cup as Welbeck managed the whole of last season.
