The weather keeps flicking from one extreme to the other. It's been carnage the whole race.

Yeah, going to be well short of last year's distance - unless they can do 100 laps before the end.

This race has been such a tragedy for Aston Martin, the team just look broken.

Bloody hell, Nakajima just bounced well skyward at the Dunlop chicane and nearly hit that Porsche

Here's a lap of the old Le Mans in a Porsche 956; this is not just the pre-chicane Mulsanne circuit, it is pre-Porsche curves as well. Awesome! Check out the flat-out for over a minute on Mulsanne

I don't know what your definition of the Porcshe Curves are, but they are very, very much there on that video—they were introduced in the early 70s.

Pre-Porsche Curves was a straight run from Arnage to the Ford Chicanes, via only the old Maison Blanche (which the cars don't run on any more).
