2013 Le Mans 24 Hours

Ice cold Kronenbourg in my 2012 Le Mans Ecocup. 2010 one looks a bit mouldy in the bottom :eek:
 
Didn't look like the barrier had any tyres in front, and there may have been an tree close behind the barrier.

Well there's a steep bank behind the barrier there, because that part of Tertre Rouge is slightly cut into the banking behind it where the motorway goes over. Just seems like such a strange place to go off, especially since the reprofiling 2-3 years ago means it's not the heavy braking into a tight corner that it used to be and the cars don't bunch up and swerve like they used to. If anything, it's a pretty uneventful corner now, so I'm surprised he even went off there :(

Olly Gavin was behind him in the Corvette and saw him go off, so maybe he saw what happened?

Edit: he was well out of Tertre Rouge by there - what the hell happened?

RIP - poor bloke.

Is it next year when there is due to be a bit more LMP1 competition from Porsche and co? Who else was it rumoured to be?
