Thanks! Might be a bit late for me to get all the assorted bits and pieces now as I don't have a conservatory or poly tunnel etc.
Me neither, just a small cottage garden and a windowsill or 3.
Its okay, I have used neither a greenhouse or polytunnel for my chillies for the past three years. They have been very happy, at first in a propagator, and then on a sunny windowsill.
Just ordered some Carolina Reapers : http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2013/11/confirmed-smokin-eds-carolina-reaper-sets-new-record-for-hottest-chilli-53033/
Mental heat and an evil colour.
The hottest I like is probably Fatalii.
Right ok... I'll go search the internets! How much are propagators generally? Don't want to be churning out 100's of the little buggers![]()
i didnt even bother with a propagator, just straight into compost in a pot on a window. when they were big enough split them out in to separate pots.

There's a few in B&Q for about £3/4 - would they be ok? Nothing special, they are unheated ones... put that in front of the patio doors?
They will be totally fine. As long as it is warm and sunny in front of the doors then it sounds ideal.
I picked up a heated prop from B&Q last year for around £10 on offer.
