2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying 12/16 October *** Spoilers ***

He didn't dive but he went down easier than a cash strapped hooker handed a fifty.
As do 90% of footballers these days, what's the point in going on about it? Everyone just seems to accept it as the norm these days.... personally I hate it and think every player should stay on their feet if at all possible.

Also I think ref's can help using common sense by awarding free-kicks / penalties for fouls even if the players manage to stay on their feet but are knocked off balance and thus at a disadvantage. This could encourage players to stop falling over their own shadows anticipating the foul.

I think that's an important point. Refs seem to think its ok to not make a decision if the player didn't go down. Pretty much forces the players to go down, usually unnaturally because they haven't actually been decked even if they have been fouled.

cm I'm not sure how you can disagree everything you respond to initially is nearly a dig at another club.

right. just so i'm straight on this. one more solo says vert isn't the best person to teach walker some basics and he's basing this on his performance against man united. and i'm the one who gets picked up for having a dig.

simply lol.

Great. Think we needed lampard, even though cleverly was one of the better performers we need a bit more experience.

What? Seriously, what? How am I having a dig? Vertonghen might be a decent CB but his performance at full back against us was nothing special. It was an observation, not a dig at anyone or anything. For the record, I think Vertonghen has looked decent since joining but he still has a way to go.

However, when you turn round and say things like this:

and it's not a key responsibility one more solo but considering how inept he made your defence look, it was worth pointing out. infact, all our goals made your defence look pap.

That's having a dig. And I thought this place would improve when cheets left, have the mods checked your IP recently? :o

Totally agree - but then it wouldnt be such a bad thing to play 4 - 3 -3

With Carrick as the defensive player, Gerrard & Cleverley a little further up and Rooney as the main striker ( Lennon and Ox either side)
)
Would be a huge mistake to go with 4 -4 -2 away, as England would get slaughtered (performance wise if not score line as well)

To be continued...... :D

According to the Telegraph, Hodgeson tried to call up Carl Jenkinson but Fifa needed three weeks to clear him or soemthing. Not a bad idea in my opinion, on the balance of things, even taking into account my Arsenal bias, he is one of the in form RB in the country at the moment. I think he can attack better than the poor performance that Walker put in on Friday.
