2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying 7/8/11 September *** Spoilers ***

I see Johnson being caught to far forward again :(

Should he not push forward when we're attacking down the right? If we're going to allow our full backs to push forward then it's the responsibility of the midfield to keep the ball better and one of the CB's to cover the full back - like Lescott just done just then when the ball was given away when Baines was forward.

While I agree, it does seem quite consistent that he is caught quite far forward, without much effort to get back. It's something I've noticed last few games, and has been highlighted by MoTD/Sky live games etc.

I wonder if it's best suited for him to play the Milner role and put walker at full back.

It was highlighted by Andy Townsend just now and he was talking crap though. It all depends on the instructions he's given - if he's been given the freedom/told to push forward then there will be space behind him and it's the responsibility of others to cover when the opposition breaks. As above, a near identical situation happened down the left but it was defended much better by the rest of the side.

And I'm not sure Kyle Walker would be the answer to stopping your full backs from pushing forward
