he's certainly shining on the international front the last couple off opportunities he's had but he often, quite simply, doesn't do well enough. and that's coming from a spurs fan. he will always come up with a goal though.

if so, i understand that his main role is not to score goals. however, i often have trouble understanding how any player, be they a defender or holding mid, could not, as a proffessional, finish such an easy task. lot's of players, including strikers, are culpable.

He's a creative midfielder. Sometimes they end up in these positions and put them away.
Milner's playing out there but ended up on the left wing. It looked like the Ox was coming across to fill in for Milner but he was far too late and Gerrard's ended up trying to fill in.

On the side of that argument, you'd think a defender was still a more accurate striker of a football than a Sunday league player... Doesn't seem to work like that weirdly :/
