2015 FIFA Women's World Cup ** spoilers ** [6th June - 5th July 2015]

One difference between male and female games I've noticed. Women get fouled, they fall over and then they get back up. If this was male football there would be all kinds of theatrics as the guys hit the floor rolling around like they've been hit by a truck..sad times :(

hope they don't pick that part of the men's game up

LOL. That thought did cross my mind. In one game I saw a really blatant dive for a penalty, and I thought, don't start copying the men. :p

Maybe if it gets to the point where more money is involved, more pressure to win, maybe it will inevitably creep in. Hopefully not, because that's the worst part of the men's game, by some distance.

Completely agree, but that said, the women's game seems far less pacey/ferocious/committed. Slide tackles and therefore studs up seem far fewer.

Not saying that guy's football doesn't have its fair share of annoying theatrics but if I got tripped up when sprinting at full pelt I think I'd hold my knee for a bit as well.

From what I've seen so far it's been the goalkeeping and general defence that's been the main difference between men's football. I wonder if that's purely an inherent height and physicality thing?

That kinda rubbish has to be ironed out if women's football is ever going to get to the same level.

Here's my prediction. The final score will be either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1.

Whichever of those it is, it'll be the Jap's victory.

Well look at the bright side... I've also predicted the winning numbers for next weekends lottery if anyone wants them.

Still, at least a handball from the opposition wasn't involved. :p

Highly unlikely they would have beat the USA anyway, but having said that, before the game I thought Japan were going to win reasonably comfortably.

I don't think women's football is anywhere near as good, but that sort of thing happens in the men's game too.

We did well overall, Japan looked very average.

The state of the woman in the studio. :p
