2016/17 Pre-season Friendly Thread

Yea, Lallana has played well playing in midfield in a 4-3-3 - less pressure on him to score too. Not sure the pressing thing is as easy as you make it seem though. We're well ahead of Barca in pre-season. A fully fit Barca on their game can make you look stupid if you try to press them and don't get it right.
 
So rumours were milner was our left back cover he is now injured who the **** we gonna use klopp sign a left back! Anyway onto the game we were outstanding vs what was a near strength full barca side, mane is just bossing it, Stewart very early days but looked like he fit in fine and could move into first team to replace Allen imo
 
It was a long way away from being full strength to be fair. Neymar, Iniesta, Rakitic, Pique and Alba are all solid first team players, Bravo still appears to be their number one keeper and they don't currently have a first choice right back.

Excellent result and all but we shouldn't read anything in to it other than we're a few weeks fitter and Barcelona beat the Premier League winners of last season so we should be Premier League winners this season.

I don't want to take anything away from you as your team were enjoyable to watch and played well but Barca weren't even close to full strength. No Neymar or Alba, Rakatic, Iniesta and Pique on the bench until near the end and Digne also on the bench who will probably be their starting right back now that Alves is off to Juventus. That's more than half the first team either didn't play or were subbed on towards the end.

Well I didn't say was full strength I said near and we also played new team members in 2nd half so I'd class that as a win in itself , no I don't think we will win the league but I expect us to do better than 8th and it's please ing to see new players doing what Klopp what's all ready
 
Just got back from the game.

I know it was just a friendly but man was a good performance by us, really impressed how they lined up and how they played.

Fantastic atmosphere too.
