2016/17 Pre-season Friendly Thread

Utd still have absolutely no spark at all in central mid. There is nothing changed looking about them as yet frankly. They aren't breaking in numbers or with direction. It's all slow passing, slow build up and no plan/style. Given almost any resistance in an attack they turn and pass backwards, with Rooney passing backwards/taking the easy out option almost every single time. No good pass and move to get the 1-2s or defence splitting passing moves going, it's all singular passing with no plan on what to do next.

Chelsea: Begovic, Aina, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Oscar, Matic; Willian, Traore, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro.

Real Madrid: Casilla, Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo (c), Vazquez, Kovacic, Casemiro, Morata, Asenio, Mariano.
 
Another season of watching a Rooney for Utd... how boring.

Rashford made the key pass for the 2nd putting Valencia through because no way he'd get past a player on his own, then winning the penalty. Barely got any time for England but should have started all the games IMHO, the way he played, like now the only guy unlocking teams and driving hard at players without fear to pass them.
