We are off to Reykjavik, Iceland in october to hopefully see the northern lights.

rotters

Been wanting to do this for a while. Will try and do it next year.

A couple of weeks in Guatemala in 2 weeks. Probably a good idea to decide what we're going to do and sort out some accommodation soon... All we know is we're going to do a couple of volcano hikes and see some ruins, but need some plans!

Also probably a few long weekends in the mountains and tempted to go back to Yellowstone at some point to.

Are you retired?  I wonder how someone with a job is able to go on holiday for 10.5 weeks and still have a job at the end of it. :D

I managed, 3 weeks Korea/Japan, 3 weeks Vietnam, 10 days in the UK and still carrying over nearly 3 weeks into next years leave balance. I have also been snowboarding in Austria for a week! :D

This year, I'm hoping for a week in Europe somewhere, another bike trip to France, and 3 weeks touring around the west coast of the USA. Maybe something else, but I have family visiting this year which will take up some of my holiday balance.

I'm off cycling for a week around Morocco at the end of the week and two weeks in Japan in August at the moment. Looking to cycle around Laos for two weeks in October/November and have a week on the beach with the missus in May sometime probably Greece.

Mind if I ask who that cruise was with? Been to Oslo couple years back but would love to do a cruise round that area.

That was P&O Adonia.

Not 100% sure what they're offering in to the Fjords right now, I know they pulled Adonia out of service for a while to do some community work in the US and she was the only ship they had which was small enough to get into the Fjords.

I think she's coming back into service following a refit?

I did it on Celebrity Cruises, was fantastiballs :D

They do one sailing in May and another in August.

Probably just a trip around the NZ north island over Easter and road trip in the South Island a bit later in the year. Flying anywhere is a PITA due to the location so we're rather limited.

If I lived in NZ, I think I would find it a bit pointless leaving anyway.

It's got everything one could possibly need.

No big holiday for me this year, but long weekends

Feb - Madrid
March - Lisbon
April - Kiev + Trip to Chernobyl
May - London (I know but the TATE is quite good)
June - Macedonia

If you mean to Norway in the winter, not that I am aware of.

Most cruise lines go to the Caribbean/Australia/Dubai/Far East during the northern hemisphere winter months.

You can get cruises around Alaska/Iceland/polar regions though.

We thought about going to US this year but with pound taking a hit and situation there we decided against. Instead going to do 10 or so days in Cornwall early July before the school holidays. August we're visiting my family abroad for a week.
That still leaves us with about 2 weeks to find something to do. Most likely we'll go on all inclusive somewhere like Cyprus or Canaries for a week, deciding whether to do it before the summer or after. Then late November or early December a city break somewhere.

Plan for next year's big holiday is China. :)

Off to northern France with some mates over Easter.

Friend is getting married in Sorrento in Sept so planning to push that into a 1-2 week holiday and see some of Italy. If anyone has recommendations for the area (Naples/Sorrento etc.)
I've got a cold at the moment so I'm currently tempted to find somewhere really warm to go to and just chill for a week sometime, not sure where or when just yet but going to start looking.

Got about 8 days holiday left + a week in August which my family might do something for.

Holidays are nice.

I'm taking it easy this year after quite a bit of travelling last year, however, the reason for that is (assuming my visa comes though), i'll be emigrating to New Zealand at some point this year, however, i'll be going back to Thailand en route, (a week in Phuket then working up the coast to Hua Hin, up to Chang Mai then back to Bangkok for a few more days then on to NZ.

That said, i've just got back yesterday from 5 weeks away, (4 in New Zealand and a week in Bangkok with a trip to Pattaya mixed in there) so i guess that counts as 2017 :D

Not really planning on going away this year as going to be quite busy with other things. Might end up going over to Poland at some point (my cousin is engaged to a Polish girl) but not been informed of any dates as yet.

Went to Japan last year and going again next year so I'll start planning that later in the year.

Going to New York with the Mrs for a week at the end of May, can't wait. Been before, but I was 4, so I don't think that counts.

NYC is pretty much my favourite city. Easy to see all of the tourist bits, but the city is so full of hidden gems that I always seem to find something new.

I am lucky to travel there for work regularly, but I am really looking forward to taking my wife and children this summer. Will be a first time experience for them. Watching them experience it for the first time will be as good as experiencing it myself again for the first time.
