Going to explore and travel some of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. I have been a few times before but this time, no city stuff and mainly sticking to sea, jungle and mountains, hopping from island to island with plane or by boat.
El Nido, Palawan - Some island hopping and turtle swimming
Lake Sebu, Cotabato - hiking, lake fishing and seeing some waterfalls
Chocolate hills, Bohol - Exploring the chocolate hills and some Island hopping with some shark swimming mixed in
Bicol, Legazpi - Volcano city
banaue rice terraces Treking it through more countryside
It will be very much an escape, visiting country and scenic areas. Terrain ranging from mountains to flat beaches, volcano to jungle. My girlfriend will be coming to do pictures so my photo responsibility can be passed on to someone professional to capture the moment. I am looking forward to showing her places i have been describing since meeting her that just sound like magic trick or film scenery. One place in particular that blew my mind was a part where the sea is so clear but so shallow that you can walk from small island to island. in some areas you can be hundreds of metres from land with it at waist height and if the conditions are right, itl look like you are standing in the middle of nowhere.
I like a good city trip but have spent the last decade doing those trips and parting it up. I feel like a good bit of exploring is in order. Seeing sights i heard about from family or places that i was too young to appreciate.
I am going with the gf and a few friends who wanted to go to the Philippines but were never sure what to do or what game plan to draw up. Being Filipino-Italian I am going to be mistaken for their personal tour guide after a few days in the sun. I think my solid Surrey accent will throw them off a tad.
