The rich are the same ones that are getting their energy subsidised while also having their taxes cut. Does that help this semantics question?

As are the poor?

If you can't define who the rich are that's fine, just stop moaning about them

You do understand why we did the Brexit thing?

For multiple reasons, though the immigration issues generally weren't because say of highly paid French bankers coming over here.

Where else would they go? The bonus cap is an EU wide policy. Unless you are talking Singapore? We surely have enough bankers already anyway, we dont really need to remove the bonus cap to attract any more it is simply a bung to bankers.

Various EU countries offer tax incentives, would that be preferable for you?

imo this is not "rich", not even close. Now, that household may be doing well and have no real financial issues but its not "rich". :)

Exactly - however, that doesn't likely align with others. I wanted to say something over £250K, but I didn't want to get burnt too much!

In all honesty who cares about bankers, who cares about a persons desire to prostitute themselves for money. It’s not about them as individuals or group of people. It’s about what this says to the rest of society, where a sizeable percentage are struggling to pay bills or even get a payrise just to cover inflation.

Screw you guys you deserve nothing but the crumbs that fall from their plates. We are going further incentivise those people that not only caused pain and suffering for many of you during the aftermath of the banking crises, but already get paid very, very well yet add not a lot to the betterment of society as a whole.

Everything is relative. It’s rich compared to me but George Soros would probably commit suicide if that’s all he could make from a short.

That's not rich either, rich is having £5 million or more.

Rich isn't really a thing you are, it's what other people think you are!

Regardless looking at the NI cut, the richer others think you are the richer squared you will be.

Truss going "Hard Tory" indeed. Let's hope that means less Kipper, although Mogg's still in a job.

I'm still not keen on Truss' style (ignore the incompentent part) but she gives off very aggresive vibes (maybe she has to for/by the Kippers?) I feel like I'm being scalded and then given an extra £xxx a month as a punishment.

Good question, I will bite.

For me its household income > £130-£150K

My reasoning, that's 2 earners, both with mid/high-management professional jobs.

Although it doesn't take into account the totality of their financial circumstances they are significantly more likely to be rich than most people. Only in the top 2% of household incomes in the UK (uk household income percentiles) but not rich?
