Impressive the defense that £100k earnings is a struggle to make ends meet on here.....
Lol at what you think 100k isYes, but you don't understand. I live in a 4 bed with a pool, 15 minutes walk from Harrods and drive a Lambo. It's tough.

If people are struggling on that its because of lifestyle choices, same as how I struggle on my pittance as I've bought stuff which probably would be too much for someone on 100KImpressive the defense that £100k earnings is a struggle to make ends meet on here.....
It really is eye opening isn't itI'm curious as to the sort of cash savings these people in the heady 100K a year bracket have, and whether they are mortgage free, or if not, how long before they are? To me this is an eye opening thread, compared to some here I must live like a pauper as I can get by and run this place on what must be a relative pittance.
Twelve years of brainwashing and everyone telling them the poor are poor just because they're lazy seems to have left its mark. The funniest thing is those with the 200iq and the 100k Gucci belts, cannot fathom why some would find it strange that they think 100k is not a lot and just as easy for someone to struggle, than someone who is earning much less….
Then they try to justify why those on benefits don’t need or deserve a payrise. I’m not sure out of touch covers it tbf. Conservatives have their core base I guess.

I know it was tongue in cheek. Funny thing is we ain’t that far apart you wouldn’t think it though. This is not reflective of everyone.

Still struggling to see where people are saying 100k isn't well off. A lot on here are trying to pick a fight where it doesn't exist. The current situation is hard for the poorest, that is without doubt and all posters seem to agree. There are also elements of the current tax system that are stupid, whether you earn 20k or 200k and deprive the Exchequer more tax revenue as a result. That is also a valid point.
Not read the last few pages so not sure who's saying that 100k isn't well off.
It's all about perspective. If your basic needs are unquestionably taking care off, as in, you run no risk of ever being without food or shelter, then I can see how people think 100k isn't that much. It actually really isn't.
If my entire world was a bedsit in Tamworth and a £40 a week shop in Lidl, then yes, 100k is a fortune.
Some people would say a basic need was a house that was leak proof, heated and secure.
Some others seem to think their basic need is a giant period property, a driveway, mature gardens and room for a pony.
Wants and needs seem to get mixed up.

Yeah but unfortunately people who choose the new car, nice things and multiple holidays a year probably shouldn't really expect much sympathy from the other 99% .Agreed. If basic needs according to Maslow's Hierarchy is all you strive for, then 100k is a fortune. I can't understand how anyone would think differently.
But, if you want to live somewhere a bit nicer, have nicer things, drive a newer car and have a couple of holidays a year - 100k gets chewed up very quickly.
