I wish, UKIP would have actually carried out some of their policies. Successive Home Securities have always talked the hard-line talk but nothing ever happens and they wave all the chancers on boats right through as if they're Labour or something.
I wouldn't worry about Suella Braverman either, she'll be as useless as Priti Patel and Tressa May were in the same position and let all those precious immigrants in just like you want

Even the slower people are finally waking up to the fact that herp derp send them back populist vitriol is just a load of hot air and doesn't actually solve the problem. About bloody time, maybe we can get some people in power with some brain cells to rub together and do something meaningful.

Are property prices between 2 and 5 times more or should you just expect less for your money.
Most People are working more but paid less, in Simple terms. Plus more is taken from your wage compared to the past while less is given back to the workers as social benefits.
On the flip side more is transferred to companies compared to past by government payments, there seems to be an increase is monetary transfers from tax to private companies over the last 40 years. I call this corporate welfare.
Microthieves, getting greedy, gradually more and more needs to be transferred from workers tax to private companies. Many reasons for this two being loss of competitiveness and the constant need to increase profits ( this bit becomes a bit more technical to explain).

If anything, this current lot set up the scene for even harder politics (possibly facsists as per the video stated earlier in the thread) as per the guy you quoted, who is an example of that.

Can't imagine many people live like this now being wealthy. Both have to work. Days of stay at home parenting are done.

That said, a sole earner at 100k might still do better than 2 parents at 50k each, due to ridiculous child-care costs (if younger than school age).
Also, I have a few friends and colleagues with <100k combined household income with 2 kids and living in London/Surrey.
I don't know how people do it!
We have a joint income of 75. And I can't imagine paying child care costs even here
Imagine being a single parent.
If we had a universal childcare programme then people's salaries would go much much further.
They are done because of price increase in landownership. Close investment in residential properties to non nationals.
