So this is what all those Kremlin linked Tory party donations get you, including from Lubov Chernukhin, the wife of Putin’s former deputy finance minister, who himself has dealings with sanctioned Oligarchs.

Sabotage from the inside. Clever tactic

Yes and Russia’s threats to nuke the UK are all part of the smoke screen lol

I think Putin got what he wanted in this country through bluer means

Sure, no solidarity in the West over Ukraine, no arms sent there like NLAWs by the UK at the last minute... totally what he wanted, the West is now more divided than ever over the issue and Sweden and Finland will know not to even think about joining NATO. It's all working out really nicely for Putin.

Only because the left had no power to do so… if it wasn’t for party gate Boris would still be in no 10 and you know it.

All those weeks when Starmer begged him to quit lol… be careful what you wish for..
You just have such a bizarre view of government... Like everyone else is supposed to play along with all of Boris's MULTIPLE scandals and not say anything out of fear at what kind of horror the Tory party might decide to vote in instead?

And the fact that the Tory party is so completely corrupt and compromised is now somehow the opposition's fault.

And you're just ignoring that what actually precipitated his resignation was not the opposition criticising him, but his own government collapsing around his head.

The state of this new government reflects only the nature of the modern 'Conservative' party.

Yeah the Russians really *love* Liz, they were so happy to see her get the top job:

But what about the massively increased borrowing to pay for it, you haven't explained how that is Conservative?

Bonuses are paid for by banks from their profits, not government borrowing.

would you prefer that Boris was still PM compared to Truss?

I often think of this grilling and the comments by some of the top Tories https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMW14eT1u8I and wonder where their convictions are now...

The tax cuts are being funded by borrowing, so for the third time of asking, can you explain how that is Conservative?

No, government spending is being funded by borrowing. I don't think the energy price cap, for example, is conservative but I wasn't commenting on that, I was commenting on the things being discussed in this thread as I already said:

I'm referring to the Bank bonus cap removal and the income tax changes that are being commented on in this thread, I doubt very much Corbyn would do either.

The answer is fairly simple, the only way this fits Conservative ideology is that they're pinning all of their hopes on accelerated growth to compensate to enable committed spending. Should be some interesting times ahead.

Also, the level of tax cuts on high earners is ridiculously funny!
