if they U turn now they are going to need to call an election as they will have lost the confidence of what ever sane part of the electorate is left in this country or at the very least Kami Kwarteng and his handler Truss will have to step down. They both pushed this as the solution and the only way to stimulate growth so if they u-turn now is basically means they were both full of **** and no one should ever beleive another single statement either of those clowns puts out ever again. I think they may have just ****** themselves over this.
They could, or they could take a leaf out of Boris' playbook and just plough on regardless. Personally I think that's more likely with this lot. :(

yes, but as a party I think they have used all their political capital now. So even if they try to tough it out I think they are done. With all the strikes that are lined up and the level of public unrest this will likely end up being their "Thatcher poll tax moment" , except it won't be enough for the public for them to just change leader again and also changing leader 3 times in one parliamentary term is bonkers and indicative of a party / government that has zero credibility.

When you have the IMF telling you that your plan is bottled lunacy then you technically have a massive problem, especially with the "moderate conversatives", who are the people you need to keep you in power.

Kippers gonna Kipper (as i believe the kids would say) since Johnson it’s clear you’ll have to get the keys from number 10 from their dead hands.

Personally I haven't seen evidence of that. If so feel free to report it, otherwise all I can see is you casting aspersions.
He deffo has, also he thinks its okay to walk down the street and slap women on the arse and that our generation is woke etc etc etc.

He has some pretty odd views.

Just read the IMF piece.

Everyone but truss and Kwasi seems to see it.

Have to laugh. Otherwise you'd cry

Larry Summers, the former US treasury secretary, said such a warning shot from the IMF would be more usual for an emerging market economy than a country like Britain

Lol

Can we please get these clowns out. At this rate they won't be able to go out without an armed guard. They are on path to destroying peoples whole lives.

So no emergency rate rise from BoE? What is happening to our country? How have we managed to get these people in charge?

So.
Truss and Kwasi have in a month managed to:
-crash the economy
-raise mortgage rates by 2 percent
-crash the value of the pound
-give thousands to the super rich
-attract heat from the IMF

That's some going

We will have to wait to see the full impact on house prices. But widespread view is at double digits at least

Then comes jobs. The reality scary one

Political capital......they haven't had any for a long long time. Pretty much just the extreme partisan supporters left. 17% approval rating, 62% disapprove.

Yrah he's basically Hitler and Stalin and gengis Kahn and satan in a humans form.

He also wants the government to sterilise the population and only allow couples to reverse the sterilisation once they've passed some suitability test; while swearing blind that this "policy" bears no relation to a certain mid-20th century north European regime who, let's face it, would have jumped at the chance to do exactly that if they'd had the technology and logistics to do so.

So you're not far off. :p

Or, a figment of someone's imagination. A kind of forum cosplay character.

I genuinely hope it’s a Diamond Mark type situation.

Sorry, going massively off-topic now.

In a month, they’ve achieved all of that in the space of 2 full working days!
