I know a few of us like a track day or two, so just thought it maybe easier to have a single thread on it? Anyone got any dates in mind for next year? I'm looking to do some pre season testing, so ideally looking an an RMA day at Donnington around February time! Anyone else keen?

Love the Megane, maybe one day you'll be able to afford one.
It was really good, but needed to play yourself into it due to being left hand drive and manual. Was nicely set up for the Ring and the guy who runs the cars said "the brakes are fantastic and will never fade" and he was right. Well suited to the Ring and go very well. Shared it with a friend and he booked a coach for him.

I'm aiming to do one about April at castle combe. It will be a bit of a driver/car shakedown as I've only ever driven one before and car hasn't been out on track before. Need to fit new disks/pads first then pray it makes it through MOT. :p

MR2 is getting an engine bay overhaul this winter, new ECU, loom, DBW throttle, CoP ignition, new fuel system, sensors etc. Basically modernising the management systems. I’ve also made a new turbo manifold which has relocated the turbo so got a bit of plumbing to do with the exhaust and boost pipe.

Once it’s all in and mapped I’m going to need some kind of test/shakedown before my season starts (no dates yet but it’s generally around April/May time). Will probably do a Javelin day at either Snetterton or Blyton depending on how much confidence I’ve got in everything behaving itself.

I try to do one a month but changing plans next year (sold my track car and trailer) so think I’ll only be doing 3 or 4 RMA/Salone days.

I’ll hopefully get back over to Spa at some point and then a trip to Silverstone, Donington and maybe Oulton.

Nice, aiming to get my race license in 2024 although with the price of everything going up not sure how much racing I will actually be able to afford.
Was looking at this and was hoping to coax a few friends out of 'retirement' to do it.
Whilst cheap for racing, it is still not cheap :( luckily doing mine through work so had to buy kit but everything else covered! Attended most races this year and it's definitely a fun series, with very close racing and some very quick drivers - even get some professionals in occasionally

Yeah, no motor racing is 'cheap', I'm fully prepared for the heart attack looking at the bills. :p
We went to watch a guy I know that does 750 mx5. I know he's spent quite a bit of money on that then had a big crash at T2 before we even saw him on track!

I find sprinting, even at the relatively low level I compete at, to be expensive enough. Even the cheapest ‘entry level’ circuit racing is beyond what I am able/prepared to spend and that’s before you take into account the risk of taking accident damage through no fault of your own.

Is that auto solo stuff or actual sprint events?
I'm taking things one step at a time at the moment. Get car track prepped then I need some track time under my belt before considering budget anyways to be honest.

I'd like to do Llandow and Mallory Park in 2023 :)

I'm planning on Llandow in Feb with Engine Tuner. They're offering a club of sorts for track days etc.

Depends on the weather though as Impreza isn't undersealed and Evo will be in bits (again) :)

Impreza will have Alcons on after I completely cooked the OE brakes at Castle Coombe :D
