Any cheap 3440x1440 monitors on the horizon, i don't care for high refresh rates, just for productivity.

All the models I've seen seem to be early 2016.

I've only plugged in the 2nd one today. I got the 2nd as a warranty replacement and they never collected the faulty one.
It has a thin yellow vertical line going down the full length of the screen about a 3rd of the way in from the left.

Just got a Samsung CF791 and love it

No dead pixels or backlight bleed.

Games are fantastic on it.

So this happened when I was moving into my new office space in the house!

I have it covered on Debenhams gadget insurance, reported on 22nd August and just had an email back this morning saying my claim has been approved and I need to pay the £25 excess.

Will report back once replacement has been made, but so far very impressed by these guys. £4 a month to cover the screen so may be worth while looking at this guys and girls!

Wondering if anyone know if there is any new monitors coming out this year, preferably 3440 x 1440 resolutions ?? Have presently a Samsung S34E790C 34tum 3440 x 1440 which I am happy with, but thinking either going freesync or g-sync depending on what GPU's coming out this year but thought I start looking on monitors if any new ones are due ??

Can anyone comment on the benefits of going curved outside of gaming? So for browsing/working/productivity. If there are any?

Reduced colour shift at the edges, which can happen with even some good flat large monitors.
