I'm using a single GTX980 on a X34 and not had to turn the settings down as yet. I don't game a lot anymore or play a lot of modern titles but the ones I've tried have all been fine.

Same, but Skyrim is struggling at 1080p due to all the mods installed ha. The only other titles I play are Mass Effect and Falcon BMS, hence the desire for 21:9

It's pretty much the only monitor arm that can support the weight of the PG348Q AFAIK.
I have been using a standard desk mount with my PG348Q the past 2 months with no issues.There are many available at cheaper prices that do the job well.I bought the one JayzTwoCents was using for his x34.Will return with the exact model number.Those Ergotech arms look amazing I must invest.

If you are referring to the acer 30" VA gsync 21.9 screen, it is 2560x1080, not 1920x1080 so the PPI will be as follows:
32" 1920x1080 = 68.84 PPI
30" 2560x1080 = 92.62 PPI
And a 24" 1920x1080 is = 91.79 PPI
So the sharpness/clarity is pretty good still and certainly a huge increase over your 32" TV. However, I really wouldn't be paying as much as that for the 30" acer screen when 29" 2560x1080 freesync screens are <£300
As for performance, personally I wouldn't be happy with one 980ti at 3440x1440 especially in new titles and upcoming titles, gsync will help smooth things out but low FPS is still low FPS and I wouldn't want to be dropping below at least 50fps but I am very sensitive when it comes to things like input latency and motion clarity etc.
go look up Suptek on the rainforest just got one for the wifes extra monitor.And there really good quality and there in the sale at the mo stupidly cheep
Yeah I compared PPI recently. 1080p at 35" 21:9 would be more noticeable, however I'm not convinced it would be as bad as 1080P 32" 16:9.
Freesync is of no use to me as I'm nvidia, and I've no real interest in switching from my 980Ti - I've only had it 13 months!
WRT to FPS, I agree. Even at 1080p, my Skyrim SE install is struggling as I have a lot of mods. The ENB and reshade, only cost about 2FPS, so the rest is in shadows and textures, which is really frustrating as I thought 6GB VRAM would more than suffice for Skyrim with mods

But £650 for a 2560x1080 200HZ gsync 30" VA (which iirc, is using a similar panel to the z35 so not that great for motion, mostly in dark areas) is a pretty big rip off imo, especially when you can get 34" 1440 freesync screens for that sort of money, in fact, some are even cheaper than that.... Granted they aren't 200HZ though (well 200HZ is supposedly awful on the 35" VA screens, better of sticking to 144HZ) Heck for an extra £150, you could get the new Samsung 34" 1440 VA quantum dot 100HZ freesync monitor!
As for performance with the 34" 1440 screens, you could always drop the res. down to 2560x1080 for those demanding games.

Understood, and dropping the res down is something I thought about doing, especially in Skyrim. I've just enabled 2560x1440 and I'm down to 35FPS in places
I could cope with 35FPS; what I hate is the wildy fluctuating FPS and the stutter incurred by it. This is why GSync is right at the top of my want list for a new screen.

Interesting setup, are they all ultrawides? Which one do you use for gaming?
Running a 980ti here still with the PG348Q and had the x34 Predator, no issues at all. Few tweaks on certain games but far from running everything on low.
I'll have to wait either way as I can't spend £1k on a monitor... :/
I've got mine on an Ergotron LX Tall Pole model. Works just fine. I got mine from a well known rain forest.
Sad to report that I've just had to file a support request for my PG348Q. It has a visibly darker band about an inch deep that starts about 1/2 inch from the top of the screen. It extends the whole width.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the same band "flash" in certain screens of games, e.g. the map in Division.
