23 mile skydive!

you wont feel the speed if you have no point of reference

like when you are in a plane crusing above the clouds it doesnt feel like your going fast because you have no buildings/trees etc rushing past

I just want to add my nod of respect to this guy. Just amazing. Can't wait for the National Geographic documentary, when no doubt all the cool stuff will be included.

Jumping from the ISS ? In zero gravity? Id like to see that :p

What does gravity have to with your ability to jump. You don't need gravity to jump, you need gravity to come back down. It would be awkaward, but certainly possible to jump off a surface in zero g.

They do it all the time inside the ISS.

He must have. One minute you're standing, the next your stomach is in your head. The sudden change. Everything in a commercial plane is gradual apart from the banking, thats subtle but you still feel the weight shift.

It is not the speed you feel but the "change" in speed ie acceleration.

128100 feet

At the time they said for the first few seconds he wouldn't feel anything, it would feel like the ballon was moving away from him. It's only 1g. And the atmosphere so thin, no. Rush or air or noise to indicate speed and other than ballon no point of reference.
