gutted for you mate. You think the 400W Shuttle PSU will be any better?

Im hoping so, it can power sli'd cards and i think comes with a pci express connector as standard. Can't really understand why i was able to get into the bios if the cards not getting enough power, at the minute im now thinking maybe a cable is dodgy somewhere.

and i thought the X1900XT was big, im using an Akasa Eclipse 62 case, and there's a good 2-3 inches between my hard drive and the end of the x1900XT, this card seems to be even longer...

Just cancelled the order for the psu, gonna have apoke around in the shutle to see if theres any dodgy cables first, really can't be arsed spending another £100 on something that may be a fault on a wire.

Put the 1900 back in, if it boots you know its a power issue.

Can't you hook up your bro's PSU to your shuttle, to make sure all the hardware is compatible?. If it works, then you can order a new PSU.

At the minute im in vista with the 2900xt in the shutle disconnected a hdd and the dvd rom and it lets me into windows at least. Installing drivers now, can see it taking a dump as soon as i run any games though.

Will be in the same boat soon when i try to install either 8800GTS 640 or a 2900XT in my ST20G5 Shuttle.

Disconnecting hardware gets it going? That does sound like your PSU is running out of juice, I guess there are limits even to the muscle of Shuttle PSUs.

Gift.

Anybody else not able to activate the black box thingy? Also has anybody tried forcing AA and such in CCC, doesn't seem to work for me, currently using drivers from the disc.

Ok some benchmarks, the cod one obviously shows that there has to be some kinda aa bug going on, all tests ran at 1920x1200 4xfsaa 16xhqaf: fx60 @ 2.8ghz

I dunno how reliable these are as i think the card is just barely geting enough juice to run, notice how company of heroes seems to love vista though. In the benches i done in xp the performance for the x1900xt didn't even break 100fps in coh.

I remember one of the reviews stating that AA wasn't being applied in CoH with the 2900XT, so the results weren't accurate. Can you try benching with no AA, to see if there's a big difference in FPS?
