well i tried to buy one, but i think the web site got a bit overloaded :) u dont see me qq`ing about it tho.

be happy that you had the chance at the deal imo, and im in the process of ordering an i7 setup and i will be getting it from ocuk and i never managed to get a hd i dont see the problem tbh :) great site, great prices.

yes mate was going to try get the drive with the other bits, probably would have still brought from OC like usuall but after 10+ mins of messing about my shopping cart emptied itself :mad:
 
I never got a look in, went from no buy button (on webpage) and the next time I pressed F5 a few seconds later I got the message that there were none left...

Luck of the draw I guess...
 
I hate everyone that got a hdd while the rest of us were at work.

OCUK. Next time you do this, do it at a time when everyone comes home for work. Its really unfair. lol. :(

So OcUK effectively booked a DoS Attack at 13:30... clever.

Although I managed to get one in the basket and it failed to checkout I still consider myself lucky... I almost bought the alternative that was listed with the same product page... will have to enhance my approach for next time.
The Buy Button on the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-227-SE page started pointing at.. HD-320-WD.

I'd like to thank everyone who tried to take advantage of this offer today. Demand was incredible and with only 50 drives available at this special price there was always going to be more disappointed than happy people.

However, we did say we would offer 50 drives at £79 inc VAT and that's exactly what we did. Furthermore, we actually received 64 orders at the offer price and have decided to honour the special price for every successful order.

I can understand why some people feel disappointed that they missed out, but I'm afraid that's just supply and demand in action. To imply that this is somehow our fault is not being very fair.

Thanks for doing the offer Spie, as one of the dissapointed people myself, not for missing out but the web tech stuff, these things happen, its just one of those things i guess.

Id also like to say well played on the extra 14 orders, by no means did you have to honour them, but goes to show what kind of company OCuk is, so i applaud you for that.
