The incident was in Germany. But I guess the same thing applies. Why do you think this was anything to do with religion. It would seem to be more mental health issue. Based on their history.

I think it's interesting to consider what is the primary source of discontent. It's rarely due solely to religion.
Religion is often used to deflect. Both from those to take it up and those who use it for ulterior motives.
How do you define peaceful. Least crime, least wars? Least poverty?
