@Gibbo This is a good idea to try and implement. At least initially for the 1st day of release or so.
 
Me a simpleton trying to get a 3070 for over a month now... if only I kept my pre-order with OC instead of going to Scan.. hopefully can get a 3060ti instead from OC.

Nope!
We are holding off, more people than stock camping on the pages waiting to press order which will create issues.

As such we shall re-visit tomorrow and evaluate, when I feel we are good I shall make a thread on this forum, saying cards going live very soon, so your gonna have to keep checking the forum regular.

It is not ideal but right now it is simply the only solution.

If its not you lying then those posting said items on ebay are doing so as we have not sold any 3060Ti which would clearly indicate those people are scammers.

You had better tell EBAY then as adverts were running stating cards were bought from you ( and others) instead of making threats.
 
Tried everywhere today for a 3060ti, had multiple websites let me add to the basket only for it to then kick me or timeout. Fingers crossed I can get one from OC :)

the company's selling to scalpers are just as bad in some cases, But there are also company's that have been refusing to sell large amounts of stock and cancelling the orders to try and stop scalpers.

Genuine question, how does banning new accounts stop scalpers? You don't even need an account, to view the comments in the forums.
 
I suppose there’s no ideal solution available to prevent scalpers as it seems forum or account restrictions are unavailable. I assume there’s plenty of bots just scanning those cards pages waiting for them to be in stock. You should charge astronomical amounts when they go live. Just add an extra few zeros onto the price. Or place the cards in a different part of the forum under a different name. Say the nvidia mic stand. Yours for only £389.99
