Haha sure, to make it easy i've emailed you right now (10:38) so hopefully that matches
I had missed your second e-mail, so sorry. I've replied with some options on collections for you, totally my bad.

No problem at all. I had replied back stating that i'd be happy with collection tomorrow as opposed to Monday - Not sure if you've managed to see this one?I had missed your second e-mail, so sorry. I've replied with some options on collections for you, totally my bad.
Hopefully I won't need to return mine as I don't have a printer for the label haha. I can't imagine many arriving today and beyond would still be on the old connector to be honest so think I'll be alright unless there was a lost shipment somewhere.

Thank you!!All booked for you.
Had the pins bent out of the box, so dont think u can blame a psu on this one..I wonder how many others are using Corsair PS and having some issues.(Searching the Web i found at least 4 people with same issue and RM series PS)
Those PCIe cables they use are really soft makes routing them nice and easy but most likely it is a tradeoff when connecting to non solid pins like used for those new Gigabyte cards.
Hope there is a chance to purchase those cables as it will be an easy fix then. Sending back as RMA without customer service will mean a long long waiting time for sure.
By the way first time using the card i found it is hard to fit the cable, carefully i managed to put them in and PC was working. Starting first 3D application which draws some more power from the card(CSGO Bench did work! Yeah!) did make the screen go
blank and no signal at all after that. I removed the cables and card and could see that 3 pins have been pushed backwards so no good contact anymore. Messing around with the pins and different cable and finally testing all connections card is running
fine but i'm really worried next time i had to remove the card and cables again.
Cheers,
@GIGA-ManHey, what do i do when i live in Norway?
I managed to use a playar to bend the pins back into shape(mine was all proper length), but I'm worried for what happens when i start to take the card out\in again. if some pins break off etc. at least i got the card working fine and i can wait for a bit but i want it fixed or swapped out with a proper card.
Thanks, for any advice
Please, if you don't mind, post here total repairing time, giving us outside UK an estimation of how much time will have a big paperweight in our desks.
Thanks.
@chorl
My timeline was as follows:
Request/ Receive Approval for RMA: October 2 (I think it helped that I was on the phone with their customer support guy as he walked me through the process and basically approved it on the spot).
Sent to Gigabyte repair center: October 2
Marked as received by Gigabyte: October 7
Marked as "repaired": October 14
No Aorus cards are affected, these cards have soldered connectors to the PCB.im not sure if this is asked before, are aorus master series card from week38 also affected by this issue?
great than you sirNo Aorus cards are affected, these cards have soldered connectors to the PCB.

Mines looks exactly like that. Heatshrink diappearing being a plastic plate. This is my W38 card that was delivered to me on monday, I have been using it since then without problem. I've been abit worried about if i got the "fixed" power connectors or not so yesterday i decided to do a little stress test on them. I disconnected my card to take this picture and then i proceeded plug my 8 pins in and out for like 5-6 times each while looking for any shift in the pins on the card connectors. And I was happy to see that they had not moved an inch, so i can only assume that I have the updated connector.

Same experience for me, did see a video of Der 8auer using watercooling on RTX3090 he did show some more detail telling it took him 2 minutes to connect the plugs. After wiggling each contact and making sure it was centered i could plugin my cables.Had the pins bent out of the box, so dont think u can blame a psu on this one..
Gigabyte is one of the few having a UK base, making it a solid choice for the pc parts, I think also evga has UK service center? I might be wrong it's been talked about on the forums before.Had asked for a monday collection, but its being collected today, giving me a weekend without the card
A small gripe given the problems the world is having
@GIGA-Man I musty say just how impressed at Gigabyte's handling of this issue. In Customer Experience circles, they call this a "turning an ouch into a wow". A failure is dealt with in such an impressive way for the customer that the ouch becomes a very small part of the Customer Experience. They tell them all about the wow!
Will definitely be going with Gigabyte when Zen 3 is out!
From what was mentioned in this thread it seems like it's just a new block, I don't think there is any soldering involved.Forgot to ask Giga-Man is this a soldering job(Due to the heatshrink most likely) or did you get updated version of those cable to replace them?
I checked with my dealer here in Germany and they told me because of bad availability it will take weeks to get the card replaced. Playing Ping-Pong now with Gigabyte and Dealer
He is doing a teriffic job unfortunately he cannot help outside UK .
Nothing arriving now should have the old connector type.
