3080 / 3090 / 3070 Gigabyte Eagle Gaming OC & Vision Power Connector Concerns

i got 2035 and i dont have a heat shrink. and i dont even want to try plugging in my cables because i might break the card. i sent an RMA request. and they will probably respond every 7 days just to ask about more information and here i am here without a gpu for almost 3 months. im sad that i went gigabyte.

I was without one for two months before i bought the Gigabyte Eagle. What a disappointment!

i think you worry too much. If the cables fits you can use it card will work well. If cables wont fit then RMA. I had poor conectors on week 37 card because some cables fit some not. With EVGA psu i used it month without problem. I sent card for replacement conectors only due future psu swap. I checked connnectors after month use theres was nothing wrong with them. GTAV gpu power draw is 360w so they been tested properly

I'm using my fixed 3080 from gigabye and it seems I'm still getting random instant shutdowns. I've made sure my power connectors are properly secure and in, I have a 1000w PSU so I don't see it being insufficient to power the card. I've checked event viewer too and it's not really showing anything. I only see one critical event called Event ID 41 "Kernel Power". I'm not sure if it's still a card issue or something else. This only started happening with this card though.

did u tell them about issue when u sent the card for connectors replacement. RMA team should test it for you

Yeah I did. I said "I have been having issues where my computer would shut down completely when running games." I guess they didn't test though.

Gigabyte does it again. This always looked like a shoddy card, and bad design from all of the 3080.

Design on the cheap.

Gigabyte probably has the worst AIB design for the 3080 imo. And the "support" outside of the UK has been appalling to say the least. I was in queue for over a month before i could buy one before realizing they had used a sub par connector block design.

And knowing that they have this issue, they dont even have the replacement components where i live (India). Iam personally making sure more people dont have this experience by exposing this basic issue in their cards on different forums. Gigabyte has to issue an official apology before i ever consider buying one of their products in the future.

Hey all,

I'm talking to my HQ and we're looking into the reports.

Based in UK and received the Gigabyte Gaming OC 3090 yesterday from a big online supplier who shall not be named to save Mr Bezos embarrassment :) I ordered via UK but card came from Germany.

SN start 2037, fitted to my system and no problems so far and pins were all in place before fitting.

I'm a content creator so worried about long time reliability and at same time its now my only card so need for work daily so shipping out for repair or returning to supplier would cause me real issues.

In hindsight should have kept my Quadro M5000 which went on Wednesday.

Anyone who's unhappy with the gigabyte products, you have consumer law protecting your purchase, return your card and get different brand, stop venting here, no one is interested. Take your frustration out on GB Twitter.

Yikes, I'm just learning about this...I own a week37 for about a month now...I haven't had any issues but I should check my wire to the PSU. Eventually, I plan on RMAing the card once supply gets better. Luckily these cards have a 4 years of warranty, now the question is whether Gigabyte will honor the RMA...

Ya better do that. There was someone here who had burn damage (which iam guessing had to do with the connectors)

Agree with re consumer laws and peeps should vent on GB twitter ect.

But i have to disagree with you saying no one is interested in peeps venting here ...i am interesting and its a place where peeps can vent and share there bad experiences there having with such a poor product design that gigabyte have allowed to pass.

Its place where there is a active Gigabyte rep so there is that at least.
