3080 / 3090 / 3070 Gigabyte Eagle Gaming OC & Vision Power Connector Concerns

Do you guys using RGB fusion 2.0 . For some reason its not working on my pc with 3080 gaming oc card.
The app menu is greyed out i cant do nothing with it. Dont know if its hardware related issue or software . I uploaded video for better understanding https://youtu.be/9txbKojB-1Y

Hey Ico,

It should work as I provided a new version to all the media for the reviews. Stupidly, I didn't download the BETA file, just provided a dropbox link to them or I would pass you that. I've checked all the utility files and for some reason only AORUS Engine is listed. I've requested an update and confirmation and will get it sorted for you.

Happy to say, I plugged in tested and all seems to be fine. Will test extensively over the next few days. New connector and pins seem much more robust and better quality. No dropped pins or having to bend straight etc. and I didn't have any problems this time around. Great job and thank you @GIGA-Man

Great to hear

Hey. If i want buy Eagle or Gaming oc 3090 rtx buy or cancel due that connectors?

As stated in thread depends when you will get your card if your high on the wait list chances are you will get the revised fixed connector box so nothing to worry about ..if however you do get one that as not been revised you can contact GIGA-man and he will arrange for it to be replaced

I'm wondering what the best way is to check our cards and denote whether we have received a original or modified connector block, considering there may not be any visual clues.

Is it a case of gently pressing each pin backward to make sure the locking tabs are engaged before plugging in each pcie connector?

I'd be interested to hear what you guys think.

In regards to shipment delays, not too sure but would say no. To change the part at a factory level is very easy as it's a just a cable connector, the allocation as everyone here is painfully aware is very tight. This means all stock when produced is sent straight out, the factories have been were closed over the last few days for Mid-Autumn Festival. Any delay would be because of that and should be for nothing else. Those holiday was already factored into the shipping info I provided last week, any new card produced all have the new connector. If anyone else has issues, I'll make sure to get it fixed for you ASAP.
I have a gaming oc and it has some bad power connector pins.

However, it seems that OC had a shipment of "Gigabyte Aorus Master, Gigabyte Vision OC, Gigabyte Gaming OC" - can you spot what's missing? :-D

Every other Gigabyte card seems to have been shipped.

That shipment would have left over a week ago and it's already been established the Gigabyte Vision OC and Gigabyte Gaming OC are also using the same connector that is now being upgraded. Like I said, I was not too sure but this should not effect the shipments, it's a simple swap and it's now been implemented. If it does cause any delays, I'm sorry for being wrong but so far the evidence does not support that.

Just trying to give you all as much info as possible so you at least have some idea of what's going on.

And I, and everyone else, really appreciates the feedback we get from you - it's the only thing keeping me from cancelling. So....thank you!

From a prospective Eagle OC owner, you can see why we are a little concerned that there was a shipment to OC that didn't contain any Eagles, but everything else in the GB range. If there are no production issues, we are wondering why we're not seeing any movement.

Please don't read this in an 'angry' voice :) We're indebted to you for your input in an otherwise vacuum of information.

Hi there,

I came to this thread wishing there will be some techie-guy which came with DIY solution for this issue...I'm glad seeing people like GIGA-Man providing info and solutions to this pesky issue...

As for people like myself from different countries (Spain), what would be our best bet? Waiting for things to settle down and ask for RMA? I had to opened my card and reasset pins by myself, now it's working like a charm, but I'm not confident in my tech skills, so I'm here asking.

Thank you guys.

No worries, while allocation is low we need to swap around what GPU goes on what lines and production will change.

If you go to the GIGABYTE website, scroll to the bottom of the page, click the Contact US, then select the region you live in. There will be a phone number for most places, use that and contact your local rep and ask for their help. Sorry I can only support the UK.

The wait for cards is a no doubt pain for people, but that turnaround of three days at the UK based RMA department is a really fantastic showing. Nice to see one of the real perks of buying Gigabyte hardware in action.

Makes Asus look like an utter joke.

Thank you for the updates, @GIGA-Man it is very much appreciated.

Is there an easy way for us to tell if we need to contact you and send the card for a repair? Is it just that the power pins may move when connected? How do we tell if that has happened without unplugging the power cable?

lucky the mobo's are UK, everywhere else is EU ....

think half of the reason forums members go to Gigabyte is down to the Rep support here

The only time is when it does not work, the pins wont move while plugged in. It seems, that this issue only occurs with pins moving or becoming lose when you unplug and re-plug the cables in multiple times.

Sometimes it might happen quickly, sometimes, only after multiple times and in other cases it stays secure.

thx @GIGA-Man for the updates ..as stated before are you able to give the serial number info cut off points on the Old design ? on the range of cards effected with the block..

As it seems this issue will happen regardless over time on the old design and would be great info for peeps to know if there on the new or old design of the block.

So then they can decide what is best for them going forward if there on the old block.
