Which they should have done from the start. In a world of incompetent companies, crashing websites, and pre-orders they seem to be the only ones that can run a launch campaign effectively.

To be fair, Apple generally handle launches very well (at least in my experience). They launch a new product, few days later it is available to pre-order, week after that it is delivered to your door. Not hard is it?
 
has anyone had a look on Amazon? 3090 FE appears. Click on 'Available from these sellers' link and it shows a shop called "Sorry for Scalping Shop". Price is £2999 with free delivery :D. Available from 13th to 14th Nov

You mean the one single one for sale? Did you check the seller's name? "Sorry For Scalping Shop". For £2999? Can't link to it for obvious reasons but thats what its says, methinks someone is having a laugh.
