30xx Series Founders Edition

Begs the question, why buy one if you already have one? The person buying it from you will be deprived of a warranty.

Because otherwise it might have gone to a scalper. Plus if its DOA or has an issue i dont mind returning it, all they need to know is that i am returning it, if its someone that is miles away from me then they can just send it back to the seller of FE's in the UK and either get a new card or there money back. Long winded and requires trust but i like doing things for people. Thought this might be a nice way.

If people are really against it then i can just return it myself

Because the FE is cheaper than the Gigabyte card he bought. He can pay for the FE and keep the difference.

No profit being made here - just trying to do someone a favour that is constantly unlucky at getting one.

I actually managed to get my Gigabyte card for £1440 on release in September so have been fortunate

Just had a peek at eBay again. Can't believe people are now paying ~£1,100 for a 3060 Ti FE

OCUK literally sell a 3060 Ti pre-build for less than this

There was a 3090 FE drop up for 12+ hours in December. Nobody really wanted to pay £1400 for a card that's not that much faster than a £650 3080. How times change...
I know but that was before the prices of the other models went crazy. Also now that a certain high street second hand shop buys them for £1870 scalpers will not have a problem buying them. I think if it were not for the security checks in place they would have still sold out in seconds.

I still want a 3080FE, and if I can get one I have money in the bank for it, waiting, but at MSRP, am I buggery paying stupid money for it..

If there had been a drop yesterday I had enough to get a 3090 but I'm not going not buy one, to then scalp it lol

Does anyone with a 3090 (or 3080 I guess) FE have fan stop working on their card? I believe these cards have it? Despite my card sitting at 30c, the GPU clock at 210MHz and the vram clock at 810MHz, my fans never stop. They sit at 30% (they ramp up a wee bit in gaming but not they aren't loud). I get the feeling this could be because of running multiple monitors but not sure.

I have Afterburner installed but I haven't enabled fan control and have left that alone.

I have multiple monitors and have seen the fan stop.

Perhaps it’s a program that is running in the background that is preventing it from going into its true idle state.

E.g. Epic games store is known to stop AMD CPUs from going into their idle state.

Yup, 3090FE two monitors and an afterburner underclocking profile and the fans stop when it gets down to 37 degrees ish.
I've noticed that the system power draw goes up by 100w and the GPU fans spin at 800rpm if I have the oculus desktop app open. Not checked the temp at that point.

A few programs especially stuff like motherboard or other peripheral support applications can seem to prevent a GPU going into idle properly either always or intermittently including stuff like Samsung Magician (I think newer versions don't have this issue but not 100% sure), Creative SB Connect, etc. depending on features in use and so on.
