I'm not so sure. My Maxwell Titan X is still a decent card thanks to the extra VRAM.
I wish I'd had it 9 months ago, but I baulked at the price. Little did I know...
I think the Titan Maxwell still being solid is by virtue of it being a solid card in general. Got a bunch of 1080Tis also here and still very good cards but more thanks to the core in general. Don't mistake me, the extra Vram on the 3090 is nice, but in most instances by time 3080Ti (if its largely same core but 12GB) runs out of grunt the 3090 will not be far behind, still its a beast and you will be impressed with performance gap. When I go from 3090 rig to 1080Ti, perf gap is massive.
Probably the last lot before the LHR cards drop i reckon...
Actually could be getting worse for FE model!!!!! Apparently Nvidia are not doing Anti-Mining chips for FE models!

OC3D suggest could be a sign given most models aside 3090 switching to LHR, means that lower end FE models could go away as bill of materials is pretty high: https://www.overclock3d.net/news/gp...mining_rtx_lhr_series_founders_edition_gpus/1
Could be if all production of models other the 3090 are going LHR: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2021/...&ranSiteID=kXQk6.ivFEQ-spshKx2FzS6ZZNXjTAufgA combine that with them saying FE's will never be LHR, may be a tacit way of saying going forward we may only see 3090FE models possibly as suggested in articles. Other models Bill of materials is too high to keep producing FE model.
