Not even close. I've had hotspot below my VRAM temps before (usually low load games) as well as VRAM junction 25C over the hotspot.

Exactly. GDDR6 doesn't seem to have the thermal issues that GDDR6X has too.

FML my 3090 FE RMA has gone through but the card sent from Hong Kong is with FedEx who are demanding £230 in customs charges to release it. Fuming! Let’s see what nvidia say. Hopefully they sort it with FedEx…

That is very strange, I had a replacement 3080 come the same way a couple of months back and no such bad luck. Hopefully they can sort it out.

The card got delivered today… no idea what happened with the fees

The fees link that they emailed me is still there saying it needs paying

Need to see what nvidia say and I’m sure it’ll get sorted but it’s hassle I don’t really need!

I don't think they are making many 3080 cards, much bigger margin for nvidia to use the same card and sell it as 3080ti.
