Very similar rig to me. I don't plan on upgrading it unless I either pass it onto my daughter and excuse to notch up to the 5000 series cpu or I get friends of family request to build. Obviously the 3090 will be going nowhere, but the mobo/ram/cpu can be moved on if its necessary. Ideally that combo only needs a 6700XT or 3060Ti.

is not as simple as that for some people when, for example, a 3080FE is £650 and a 3rd party is around £1000. the £650 I can justify but not the £1000

Yeah deffo, I wouldn't dream of paying £800 for a 3070. Would want a 3080 and some change for that kind of money.

Gave up waiting today and ordered a gainwind 3070 Ti in a bad mood, only to feel terrible guilt about allowing myself to over pay so i cancelled shortly after.

Back in square one now watching sites, my phone and emails.

Good man. Don't pay silly money for a card. Its the only reason they are still silly money.

I just couldn't bring myself to pay £220 more for essentially the same card.
