30xx Series Founders Edition

I wouldn't - essentially you'd be starting a thread asking how to buy directly from one of OcUK's competitors. I get the frustration though (I'm in Dublin).

Yes, that is understandable but then this whole thread shouldn't be here because the competitor is the only place that sells FE cards for UK & Ireland.

From reading into Irish government etc it seems that if I was to use a forwarding service to get a FE card I would end up paying 20% UK VAT (included in the price, as I am shipping to a UK address) and 23% on top when it arrives into Ireland.

If stock is indeed improving, Gibbo would ship to Ireland I would have thought?

OCUK ship to Ireland I believe, when I change delivery to Ireland in my basket the price drops by 20% (UK VAT). I was just wondering, from other members experience, what are the charges, is it just 23% VAT or are there other ones too in Ireland. Of course I am talking about significant charges, I do not care about 5 euro here and there for handling etc.

@Purgatory looking more carefully at the asus viii extreme it looks like a lot of important wires would be blocked at the bottom right of the board by the lower 3090
Yes the Asus board will mean a new case for some if they want 2 x 3090. It is meant to be out mid August. The msi godlike is better thought out for layout of the pcie and allows more cases to be used.

Samsung made the chip and they have been making chips for years... But I haven't seen it said they made the board or assembled the card. Much more likely foxcon or some one like that. If they did make it, do you have a source?
The outer box that my 3080 FE came in yesterday has a Foxconn sticker on it.

I managed to snag a 3080 ti fe few weeks back. Anyone confirm why fans won't shut off? Got it set to auto in afterburner and tried doing a manual curve but always running at 30% minimum.

pretty sure it doesnt if you have Afterburner running , if you close After burner or put it in default fans will stop unless someone knows how to set fan stop with Afterburner running

I uninstalled afterburner to test and fans were still running at 1200rpm even idle. Not sure what was going on. Tried evga precision as well and the auto on that is around 34%.

My 3080 still has the fan stop feature when running default or undervolted profiles.

Make sure you have the settings as below with your own fan curve.

Just to let anyone thinking of going for an upgrade from a gtx 970 to 3060ti (as I did) know- it is a HUGE upgrade in both visuals and fps.

I had one of those very rare "wow" moments when I started up Cyberpunk for the first time.

It runs very quiet and cool, and is relatively small (shorter and narrower than my old 970).

3060ti fe comes with an adaptor for the 12 pin plug, you can just plug your 8pin power lead into that.

3080 FE arrived this morning, not long received the photo from relatives. Now to wait until Friday for them to come over so I can install it and build their PC

In NVIDIA Control Panel, do you have Power Management Mode set to "Normal" or "Prefer maximum performance"? Prefer maximum performance will increase and hold high clock speeds therefore idle temps will be higher. I believe the fans only switch off if the card's core temp is under 60 degrees.

Just received 3080 FE what a beaut to the packaging to the Card , in the past I never liked FE models but this time its different and with AIB costing much more feels even more better ;) Was so close to getting 3080 AIB for £1200 few weeks back glad I held out

Why not ship to Ireland? Is it not part of the UK?
